Thailand trip in Dec 2010

Thailand : Thailand trip was a royal trip for me. Staying at Mariott, having lunch/dinner at extravagant hotels and enjoying like I am on top of world. Simply put, I loved Thailand.  We covered phi-phi islands, Maya Bay, Phuket beaches- Surin and  patong,  FantaSea show at Phuket and Grand Palace, Siam shopping mall at Bangkok. Everything was perfect - From hotel, food, locations, clothes, Amber's new sunglasses (:)), jewelry to lipstick.

Phuket is extremely beautiful; Sea water is clean and crystal clear. We reached on 22nd morning and extended our stay till 25th evening. Loved snorkeling, playing in water, relaxing under sun. This time snorkeling was different because unlike Andamaan, we were independent to snorkel, there was no restriction on place and time to snorkel. They gave us life jackets(because we didn't know swimming) and equipments. Initially, we were dismayed - how we will do snorkeling without a guide, the boat-man laughed loud and told we will be here in boat you go ahead because everyplace is full of beautiful fishes and corals. :-)

Small rock islands on the way

Surin beach- Phuket

@HRC on Xmas Eve
On Christmas eve, we had wonderful evening at Hard-Rock Cafe, Patong beach. Danced with their live band.
Relaxing @ Hotel pool

We spent most of 25th relaxing lazily near hotel pool bar (Sitting was inside the pool :)), enjoying relaxing thai massages and body wraps.

Siam Paragon - Bangkok

Bangkok means tall buildings, choked traffic, a lot of people, shopping and temples. We decided on experiencinf Airport Rail link to our hotel. (Un)fortunately we did not have full address to Courtyard Marriot there and it took us 1 hour of asking different people where we have to go. The real ride was 30 mins but it took us good 1.5 hours. Overall a nice experience - talking to people, metro & tuk-tuk (auto) ride.
Road-side market was impossible to shop(considering I can shop easily in Indian road side market :D ) but I enjoyed walking over that  road. There are a hell lot of people everywhere.

Grand Palace at Bangkok

@Emerald Buddha Temple

Each day we used to say “Ek din yahan aur rukna chahiye” and we kept saying this at every place because each place was better than yesterday’s place. We missed night bazar at bangkok. :( but Overall Awesome holiday.
