One of my husband's colleague asked us on friday, if we would like to join them for the trek which they were planning. I said yes, without even checking the place name. 😀 The place is around 100 km from the Bengaluru. Roads are pretty good through-out. There is Gudibande lake as well on the way which is a very big lake. It provide very scenic view and proper photo point.  We spent around 10 min to click some pics and continued towards trek start point. Nandi hills : Trekking path Place : Nandi Hills Distance from Bangalore : Around 60 km Trip type : Day trip/Half day trip Day of travel : 3rd August trekking length/Duration : Approx 4 km (to and fro). 1-1.5 hour If you are staying in Bengaluru then you must have been to Nandi hills. If you have been to Nandi Hills then you must be knowing that one can drive till the hill top. Then why trekking??? This trekking path will offer you completely different view which is not available from the top of Nandi Hills. The trek starts from backside of the paved road. The trek is very well carved stepped path. Throughout the trek is green and scenic. If you are not used to steps then you might find it hectic, take rest in between. This is best trekking path if you are beginner or with kids. My 8 year son completed the trek without getting tired. Many people suffered during the pandemic and IT engineers are also the one among the lots. When we first were asked to Work from Home, it looked like a silver lining, but very soon we realized that it's much more painful than working from office. Back to back meetings, work without break, taking care of household (no house helps), kid while still attending the meetings for both of us has been fully stressful. Being a travelholic person, spending 4 months locked in the house was like an punishment. So finally I found a workaround for myself to get some peace of mind. Day treks...
