Chhota ladakh in Bengaluru

Image
Bengaluru's Chhota Ladakh Place : Chhota Ladakh Distance from Bangalore : Around 40-50 km Trip type : 2-3 hours Trekking length/Duration : None Difficulty level - None I heard about Chhota ladakh from few friends. When I googled it, the first look was pretty attractive and the place was just 40-50 from Bengaluru. So we made made impromptu plan for Chhota Ladakh. Definitely it was not the kind of place I was expecting.   First of all it is not even 300 mt from the road. you can just park your car and walk around 200 mt you will reach there. I saw some people even parked on the spot as well.  Second, the whole area is very very small. if there are 20 people you can not avoid them in the pictures.  Third, No place/rock is good enough to sit and there is nothing to do. This area is generally hot and there are no trees or shade available. I find this place dirty as well, many used bottles, cups, plates all around. One can not spend more than 30 minutes at this place.  My feedback

Place : Mandaragiri hills Distance from Bangalore : Around 70 km Trip type : Day trip/Half day trip Day of travel : 29th August. After listening to our trek stories and reading our blog, our close relative who stays in Bengaluru showed their interest towards trekking. So we decided to have one group trek/outing with Social distancing. Considering kids in the group we decided to do the easier trek.  After doing some research we finalised the Mandaragiri Hills.  Mandaragiri Hills is around 70km from Bangalore, and took around 2 hours to reach to the parking spot. We saw around 10 more cars parked in the parking slot. It was a surprise for us because all the places we went earlier, hardly had any cars or people around. This was little disappointing to me but decided to continue anyways.  Mandaragiri hill on the background(White strip are Steps) The place - On the base of hill there is a Jain temple(which was closed due to Corona). Unlike other hills, this is a barren naked hill. there we

Place : Handi gundi Betta (Near Ramnagara) Distance from Bangalore : Around 60-70 km Trip type : Day trip/Half day trip Day of travel : 23rd August Trekking length/Duration : Approx 4 km (to and fro). 2-3 hour Difficulty level - Moderate The conquerors "Alone in mountain, lost your trail, standing on slanting hill which has steep valley down..." How do you feel in above situation? if you feel thrilled and excited then Handi Gundi Betta is best spot in Covid situation. 😊 This trip was much more thrilling than we expected, we had challenges everywhere not only on the trek path. This was our 3rd trek within Bangalore since lockdown. We started enjoying and getting comfortable in this kind of outing until the situation become normal and we can have vacation again. So the story begins -  We set the google map location "Handi Gundi betta trek starting point" and started from home around 12 Noon. It was around 2 PM when we hit one railway crossing; just 2 km before t
