Barman - Satdhara walk
Satdhara Barmaan
Place - Satdhara, Barmaan (Near Narsinghpur)
Location - 100 km from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh
Trip type - Leisure, half day, 2-3 hours
Thank you in advance for reading this blog, because this blog is about my hometown. I have always blogged/written about places near Bangalore but now I am so thrilled/excited to write something about my hometown.
This place is around 100 km from Jabalpur and hardly 15 km from my home, situated on the bank of river Narmada. This place is called Satdhara, that means Seven streams, because here the river Narmada splits into seven(multiple) streams.
This is a raw beauty that you can soak in as much as you can and can enjoy the sceneries to your heart's 😀
Personally I can spend whole day here, with river & rocks and exploring/ soaking in the nature's beauty.
It was a cold and cloudy day. After spending many days at home without stepping out, WFH all mornings and evenings, we both had started to get restless and frustrated. Signs of stress and frustration had started to show up on both of us. Visiting river Narmada could have been easiest and quickest way to unwind.
So, started at around 1:00PM. We parked our car just after river bridge, and reached to the bank of river, there were small tent/pooja places and small shops on the way. As soon as we started trekking on the rocks it started drizzling. Since it was really mild drizzling we continued the trek further down.

We had great time exploring rocks and honing rock climbing skills, deciding the final rock which we wanted to concur. After taking Tatva for many treks around bangalore we knew he could easily navigate the rocks here. I was feeling very nostalgic, during our childhood our parents used to shout at us for going on the rocks alone, but I could do it. I ended up doing the same with Tatva as at places rocks were very pointed and tricky. :(
This place is may not be as beautiful as Bheda-ghat : marble garden(which is in Jabalpur) but it will provide you similar feeling. It is worth going and enjoying.
After an hour or so, the rocks got wet and they became slippery. Tatva, in fact slipped and drenched his shoe and socks, so we decided to trek back to the base location.
We picked this rock to concur |
Wow very lovely place, especially the rock in the middle of the river is breath taking. Thanks for sharing
